Domestic gold valuations in Pakistan rebounded sharply on Tuesday, directly tracking an upward trajectory in global commodity markets to reach Rs440,836 per tola. The upward revision halts the previous session’s heavy localized sell-off, underscoring the extreme sensitivity of domestic precious metals to international pricing dynamics.

According to official pricing metrics released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the benchmark per tola price registered a day-on-day increase of Rs900. Similarly, the standard 10-gram gold denomination experienced a proportional upward adjustment, increasing by Rs771 to settle at Rs377,945 for the active trading session.

“The localized gains were directly catalyzed by movements in the international bullion market, where the benchmark rate for gold advanced by $9 to close the session at $4,183 per ounce.”

This international tailwind provided immediate baseline support to the Pakistani market, which had faced significant downward pressure just 24 hours prior. On Monday, the domestic market recorded a sharp contraction, with the per tola gold price shedding Rs2,100 to drop to Rs439,936. Tuesday’s localized recovery effectively erases nearly half of the preceding session’s deficit.
