The Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) hosted probationers from the Government of Sindh’s 1st Common Training Programme (CTP) on Monday for a strategic briefing centered on the province’s industrialization regime and foreign direct investment (FDI) framework.
The delegation, visiting as part of a National Study Tour, was briefed on Punjab’s broader economic landscape and the operational development of Special Economic Zones (SEZs). The policy session was jointly delivered by Zeeshan Shabbir Rana, Director General of Industries and CEO of PBIT, alongside Jalal Hassan, Head of the Punjab-China Desk and Senior Economic Advisor for the Industries, Commerce, and Investment (IC&I) Department.
“The briefing outlined PBIT’s pivotal role in facilitating investment across the province.”
The engagement aimed to familiarize incoming civil servants with cross-provincial economic strategies and institutional investment protocols. Following the economic presentations, the visiting officers toured the administrative headquarters at the 176-year-old Poonch House, which included an inspection of the recently restored Bhagat Singh Gallery.
