LAHORE, November 5, 2026: Air Link Communication Limited has officially entered Pakistan’s growing electric vehicle market with the introduction of 11 electric bike models spanning six distinct series under its new “AirV” brand.
Unveiled at a launch event in Lahore on November 4, the new lineup brings advanced mobility features to the domestic market, including near-field communication (NFC) functionality, anti-theft systems, cruise control, and regenerative battery technology. Depending on the model selected, the e-bikes offer riding ranges of up to 200 kilometres. According to the company’s disclosure to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), commercial deliveries are slated to begin within approximately a week.
Strategic Roadmap Toward Localisation Air Link initially announced its entry into the electric two-wheeler sector in July 2026, following board approval to establish the business line at its manufacturing facility in the Sundar Green Special Economic Zone, Lahore.
While the company is initially sourcing the e-bikes from international partners to meet immediate demand, it has laid out a phased transition toward domestic production. Air Link plans to procure replaceable lithium-ion batteries locally in the near term, with a long-term strategic target of achieving up to 95 per cent localisation as its electric mobility operations mature.
During the launch, Air Link Communication Limited Chairman Aslam Hayat Piracha emphasised the broader vision behind the venture. “With AirV, we aim to be part of the transformation in the country’s transportation landscape by making modern, reliable and technology-driven mobility more accessible and affordable,” he stated.
Group CEO Muzaffar Hayat Paracha added that the diversification into electric mobility represents a crucial step in identifying and capturing emerging high-growth opportunities beyond the company’s core operations.
Financing and Revenue Diversification To support consumer adoption, Air Link is integrating the e-bikes with Airfin, its proprietary buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) financing platform. Airfin allows customers to purchase electric bikes, smartphones, and major home appliances through structured monthly instalments.
Brokerage firm AHL notes that this financing model is expected to enhance product affordability, protect profit margins, and offset cyclical slowdowns in mobile phone distribution. Air Link is aggressively expanding its appliance footprint alongside e-bikes, projecting robust sales targets for air conditioners (65,000 units in 2027; 95,000 units in 2028) and televisions (50,000 units in 2027; 65,000 units in 2028).
While Air Link has outlined an ambitious roadmap for distribution, deliveries, and enterprise targeting, the company has yet to publicly disclose the retail pricing for its 11 newly launched AirV models.
