Interloop Limited has executed a massive capital allocation strategy, formally approving a Rs6.5 billion investment to aggressively expand its apparel and hosiery manufacturing base, while its holding company simultaneously launches a $55 million (approximately Rs15 billion) dairy processing venture to diversify the group’s corporate portfolio.

In a regulatory disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company confirmed that its board of directors authorized the major capital expenditure (CAPEX) and balancing, modernization, and replacement (BMR) budget. The board formally ratified the financial mandate during a high-level meeting held in Khurrianwala, Faisalabad, on October 22, 2026.

This multi-billion-rupee liquidity injection is explicitly directed toward scaling production capabilities, upgrading legacy industrial facilities, and aggressively increasing aggregate manufacturing capacity across Interloop’s core apparel and hosiery divisions.

“The approved expenditure forms part of Interloop’s growth strategy and is intended to improve operational efficiency, support future business expansion and strengthen its ability to meet changing customer requirements.”

Despite the scale of the approval, corporate management declined to provide a segment-wise breakdown of the Rs6.5 billion allocation or establish a definitive timeline for the completion of the textile upgrades.

In a parallel regulatory filing linked to its governance structure, Interloop confirmed the formal reappointment of Musadaq Zulqarnain as Chairperson and Navid Fazil as Chief Executive Officer. Both executive mandates became effective on October 22, 2026, directly following the formal election of the company’s directors on October 14, 2026.

While the publicly listed entity strengthens its textile core, the broader holding company, Interloop Holdings, is initiating a radical diversification into consumer foods. The group is injecting $55 million into a state-of-the-art dairy processing facility in Faisalabad, structured as a strategic partnership with Turkish food manufacturing giant Rella Gıda.

This foreign-backed industrial venture will be executed through a newly incorporated corporate vehicle, IL Foods Limited. The entity is slated to manufacture high-value dairy commodities, specifically targeting cheese, butter, and Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC80).

Chairperson Musadaq Zulqarnain confirmed the underlying operational metrics of the joint venture, outlining that the new infrastructure will systematically scale the group’s combined annual milk processing capacity to 180 million litres. Commercial production at the Faisalabad plant is strictly timetabled to commence within 18 months.

“The project is also intended to develop export markets, reduce dependence on imported dairy products and introduce modern processing technology to Pakistan’s dairy industry.”
